Taxes & Spending

Eric is in full support of Governor Gibbons “No Tax Pledge” and will work tiredly to assure that the Assembly will not have the 2/3 vote to overturn the governors veto. Eric also believes we need to stop out of control spending in government and is in favor of the Tax and Spending Control Initiative that will tie growth in government spending to population growth plus inflation.

As a small business owner Eric understands that over Taxing a small business is like hitting them in the head. Nevada’s small businesses employ a large number of the people and Nevada and they should not be punished for doing so.

Eric will fight for audits by non governmental auditors to assure that our tax dollars are not wasted. And reward those departments that provide great service and are under budget.

Illegal Immigration

Eric will look for realistic solutions to the illegal immigration problem. The key being that we must punish employers who knowingly employ illegal emigrants and stop giving illegal immigrants the Millennium scholarship.

Natural Resources & Growth

Like many Nevadans Eric loves the great outdoors that Nevada has to offer. Whether it is Biking, Hunting, Fishing or Hiking Eric will make sure that these areas are left open for all to enjoy. We must also encourage business to develop renewable energy and policies through tax incentives.

Eric will work to assure that Nevada will grow correctly through planning of our Transportation, Housing, Industrial and Commercial needs. He believes that we should not steal resources from one Nevada community to pay for the mistakes of another.

Eric will make sure that our schools have the resources that allow our students to be competing in a global economy. Whether it is in K-12 or Higher educations Eric will make sure they are given the tools that will allow our students to achieve success. New technology and technical programs should be available to all students.

Require all schools to be accountable for the money that they spend. Education makes up over 50% of the states budget and they must be good stewarts of that money. Eric will do everything in his power to make sure that the money goes to the students and the teachers and not administration.

Healthcare

Too many Nevadans are without heath care that places a greater burden on the state government. Eric believes that healthcare should be affordable of all Nevadans. He supports tax incentives for business that offer heath insurance to their employees.

Gun Rights

As someone who grew up hunting and fishing, Eric will work to assure that Nevadan's will continue to have the right to bear arms.
